Seven new tenders from Nye Veier worth NOK 15 billion

The company has never put so many tenders to market. The economic volume has never been larger than in 2022.

“We’ll use our role in procurement to ensure that we fulfil our strategic priorities. We will generate better value for money and, together with the contractors, demonstrate a clear social responsibility and take ownership of health, safety, and the environment. The primary difference compared with earlier contracts is the expectation that suppliers will help to make the projects as sustainable as possible,” says Managing Director of Nye Veier, Anette Aanesland.

Nye Veier will challenge and reinvigorate Norwegian transport by pushing boundaries and driving change. The tenders and contracts awarded under the auspices of Nye Veier have changed the way in which many now implement their tenders. This work is ongoing.

“We’ve listened to important input from suppliers. Consequently, we’re moving away from the client’s maximum price, adjusting how we implement the tenders, and increasing the variety of contracts available in terms of size,” Aanesland explains.

The first tenders will take place during the first quarter, with the remaining tenders spread throughout the year.

The tenders will be put to market once the zoning plans for the sections have been adopted by the municipalities. The projects must fulfil the objectives set for the project. Nye Veier must have sufficient budget to implement the tenders.
